This small book series is great! I love that it shows what a community can do together, the friendships, the help, the support. It keeps moving because of all the emergency situations the Doctor has and all the relationships that are moving along together. This book is NOT smutty. It is fantastic for a change! How refreshing to be able to read a book and get done only to realize how clean it was and how much I enjoyed that. It is implied in the relationships, but not spelled out, and really, it was so great! I would read these books again and again. As reviewer 144, all I need to say is that I LOVED IT> I really wish I had read the Grace Valley books before I read the Virgin River ones. Not that it mattered, but in Virgin River the Grace Valley group is referred to time and time again and I wish I had known the back story on them.I started reading Robyn Carr with the Virgin River series. I fell in love with the people, the town, their lives. I wanted to move there. I couldn't get enough and I hope the town continues to grow so there will be more books.I love June's story and that agent she found. OMG another great hero. I am anxious to see where this is going. I bought the trilogy so I got all 3 books at one time. I am reviewing them separately though. I really can't understand how the one reviewer was disappointed. This book had a lot more angst and discord than any of the others. The abuse of wives and children, the self-defense slaying of a guy that should have been shot years ago, the womanizing preacher, the abuse of a pregnant 16 year old, etc. Lots of on the edge of your seat drama. But I think it built the story of a small town and the community that lives in it. You get a better understanding of what these town folks are up against. Also, and I loved this, how they handle the bad guys!!! I loved the Judge and his justice. I thought it was a great book and I highly recommend it. I am getting ready to start book 2 in this series. I can't wait to see what happens to all of these people.
